Shipping and Return Policy

Shipment - I placed my order, now what ?

We ship your food packages within 1 working day after receipt of payment. We use the services of Post NL for delivery within the Netherlands and their partners across the European Union. You will receive a tracking code to track your order once the package has been scanned at the PostNL distribution point.

Free shipping policy

  • Orders above 45€ - Free Shipping to The Netherlands
  • Orders above 59€ - Free Shipping to Belgium and Germany
  • Other locations - shipping subsidized under 60€ or 65€

Return and Cooling-off period

 If found unsatisfactory, products (except mangoes) purchased via www.chainmasala.com can be returned within 7 days of delivery. No returns will be accepted beyond this 7 day period. Fresh fruit, opened or damaged products cannot be returned - check the section Refund Policy for Mangoes.

Return Procedure

In case of a return of products, we will refund you the amount paid for the returned products (except mangoes.) Please follow the following steps to effectively process your return.

  • Please contact us about the return by sending an e-mail, with your order number.
  • We will assist you further by email or phone.
  • Upon receipt and examination of returned goods, we shall return the amount paid for the products to an indicated bank account.


Refund Policy for Mangoes (revised due to Covid-19 situation)

  • We will try our best to make sure the fruits are checked before we pack and ship. 
  • We cannot offer a refund this year due to the limitations imposed by Covid-19.
  • Special provisions will be communicate to our customers who use the pick up location as an option.

  • Receiving the parcels is responsibility of the customer, and Chai n Masala is not responsible for arranging re-delivery of the parcels.

When you sign up for a specific newsletter, we (Chai n Masala ) add your email address to a corresponding mailing list. While it is there, we know that we can contact you by email regarding that topic.

You can always have your email address removed from our mailing lists. There are multiple ways to do it:

We may use a third-party email service (MailChimp and/or Mad Mimi) to send newsletters. Some members of our staff can view mailing lists with email addresses. That way they’ll be able to remove your email address from the mailing list, should you request us to do so.

Please note that mailing lists are independent from each other. If you decide not to receive newsletters at all, you’ll have to unsubscribe from all the mailing lists. Even if you do that, you’ll still receive account-related emails (such as order status notifications, password reset emails, and more). It is essential for operating an online store.

If you decide that you no longer want to use our store and would like to have your personal data removed from our database (or if you’d like to get all the personal data associated with your account that we have), please send an email to info@chainmasala.com.

If you believe that your personal data has been misused, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We’re obliged by EU General Data Protection Regulation to let you know about this right; we don’t actually intend to misuse your data.
